Tallinnas peetud kuni 18-aastaste tüdrukute Euroopa meistrivõistluste finaalis alistas Ukraina kaks tundi kestnud ja Audentese spordihoone täismaja ees peetud lahingus Venemaa 3:2 (-20, -17, 19, 24, 9). Pronksikohtumises oli Itaalia üle Horvaatiast 3:1 (22, -20, 22, 22).

Riga, Latvia, April 3, 2005. Poland took the Boys' Youth European Championship
title after defeating France in the final here in Riga, Latvia on Sunday (3:2).
After the Polish team finished second place in 2001 and 2003, Poland finally
captured the European title. Italy claimed the bronze medal.

European Championship 2005, beating Russia after trailing 2:0 behind.
